I am finally joining the realm of blogging!  I say finally, because it has taken me quite a while to come up with a name for my blog.  I thought it would be such a simple thing to do, rather it proved to be the opposite. 

Am I the only one who obsessed about a blog name?  This is mainly a craft blog, but I did not want to use anything stereotypical of that genre.  I wanted to have a name that sounded cool, meant something, and reflected part of my personality.  I spent several weeks brainstorming and making lists and lists of words.  I ran a few names by some faithful friends who were good enough to tell me that they stunk.  (They said it nicer than that, though!) 

This went on way too long!  I finally gave myself an ultimatum . . . NO CRAFTING UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT A NAME!  Don’t you know that was some motivation!  I had a kitchen towel project that I wanted to do, and all the fabrics were picked out and waiting.  I sat down and made friends with the dictionary and the thesaurus.  Do you know how many words are in there?!!!  I just about read the entire thesaurus, when I came across my name.

 simple Analogy . . .

Analogy means to find the similarity between different things.  Isn’t that what we do when we are creating a new project?!  Take different items, whether fabric, beads, yarn, etc. and put them together in a way that all the individual pieces work well together. 

Simple means understandable and easy to do.  Those are the projects I like to do!
