So who am I?

I am a homemaker, and proud of it!  I have been so blessed to be able to stay at home and take care of my family.  I have been married for 13 years and have two sons.  Some think that a stay-at-home mom is so “unfulfilled”, but I feel very fulfilled in my role as a wife and mother.

I am a homeschool mom!  I have two sons, 3rd and 6th grades, whom I have homeschooled since Pre-K.  I know all the ideas that must pop into your head when you hear of a homeschool family (watch this homeschool family video for a laugh!), but I assure you we are NORMAL people!

I am also the nursery director at our church.  I hold it a privilege to work with the 60 volunteers, and the children that we care for!  And yes, it is very tiring at times, but rewarding!

In my spare time I love to read and do just about every craft available.  I enjoy beading, paper crafts, a little knitting, and home decorating.  Megan at Make it Snappy taught me how to sew and quilt about a year and a half ago, and she has turned me into a monster!  Since then, I have made many bags, skirts, and other homemade gifts, but my greatest accomplishment is finishing my first adult sized quilt.

I have taken a few drawing classes with my sons from Mark Kistler (Commander Mark!) and feel like I might be making a little progress in the field of drawing, although I have far to go.  We’ll see how it progresses.

In essence, I love all crafts!  (Except scrapbooking . . . just can’t get into that one.)
